September 2021 Update The 2021 Progress Report from Trinity Medical Sciences University School of Medicine was presented to the CAAM-HP at its Annual General Meeting held September 22-23, 2021. The Authority considered and carefully analysed the report and, while acknowledging the impact on the School of a natural disaster as well as the global pandemic, expressed deep concern that the School’s responses to the problems identified in the last site visit were not supported by evidential documentation. The School’s heavy reliance on i-Human ‘virtual’ patients in clinical training was also a matter of concern. The Board was not persuaded that the School had made sufficient progress in addressing the problems cited and took the opportunity to caution the School that continued failure to address the concerns could lead to loss of accreditation. CAAM-HP looked forward to receiving the documentation for the next site visit, whether virtual or actual.
November 2020 Update The 2020 Progress Report from Trinity Medical Sciences University School of Medicine was presented to the CAAM-HP at its Annual General Meeting held November 18-19, 2020. The Authority considered and accepted the progress report Board but expressed disappointment at the absence of documentary evidence to support some of the claims made. The Authority was also concerned about the financial viability of the School, given its dependence on tuition fees solely, and requested audited financial statements for the past three years.
